the YIP women have no real claim to relationship with the

other girls mentioned, although they have all been primed

to tell, more or less, the same story.

From all the circumstances of this case and

enquiries which led up to the detention of the two women

YẪU.

YIP YẪU, 2nd defendant, and YİP LİN, 1st defendant, it is

my firm opinion that they are undesirable characters and

that they have been carrying on the business of trafficking

in women and girls for some considerable time. I suggest

they be deported from the Colony.

I have been in communication with Chief Detective

Inspector Murphy and also Hon. Attorney General both of whom

consider there is not sufficient evidence to produce a concrete

case for prosecution, but there is quite enough to apply for

banishment. Banishment proceedings are therefore going forward.
